A clinical and forensic psychologist, Dr. Lipson, brings together risk assessment, prevention and preparedness to create a safer learning environment. These approaches are designed to “safeguard” others, clients, and communities. The ability to address interpersonal violence, harassment and sex offenses facilitates organizational approaches in recognizing patterns and risk factors that result in unwanted outcomes.
Making Right Choices (MRC) emphasizes prevention through:
- Psychological understandings including the impact of loneliness
- The influence of the cyber scape
- The possible fallout from adverse childhood experiences
In October of 2019, Dr. Lipson’s work was recognized by the National Association of Directors of Teacher Education and Credentialing and he was awarded the Doug Bates Award. His contributions in the field of school “Professional Practices and Educator Misconduct” were highlighted. This award highlights the contribution he has made “to the safety and welfare of school children.” https://www.nasdtec.net/page/DougBates
