Katherine Turner, Ph.D., Psychologist (SME)
Katherine Turner, Ph.D., completed her doctorate in Developmental Psychology at Stanford University and her postdoctoral fellowship in autism and neuroimaging at SDSU. She is a Registered Psychological Assistant at the Institutes of Health, San Diego, working with pain, PTSD, and brain injury patients.
Dr. Turner is a lecturer in the Department of Psychology and an Adjunct in Homeland Security at SDSU, leading the Forensic Certificate Program. She was an undergraduate academic advisor in the Psychology Department for eight years at SDSU and continues to co-run a forensic research lab focusing on the impacts of adverse childhood experiences on later life decisions, including educational engagement.
She is originally from Canada and loves Ontario in theĀ fall. She is married with two children and a very needy poodle.
